Subi's Free plan is for Shopify development stores, the test stores partners and developers use to build and try out a shop. A live store starts on one of the paid plans below. A store that started on the Free plan as a development store and has since gone live may still be on it, with the same limits. Some stores that moved onto a Free plan before 21 May 2026 are on an older Free plan, with different limits (see below).

If your store moved onto the Free plan on or after 21 May 2026 (including a store first built as a development store), the Free plan has a limit of 5 active subscriptions and $200 of monthly subscription revenue. There is no transaction fee on the Free plan.

If your store has been on a Free plan since before 21 May 2026, it is on an older Free plan with no limit on the number of subscriptions. Most of these stores have a monthly subscription revenue limit of $300, some have $200, and a few have no revenue limit but pay a fee on each subscription order. If you are not sure which applies to your store, ask us in the chat.

Subi stops charging renewals once your store reaches a limit. Your subscriptions stay in place, but when a renewal comes due, Subi does not charge it: the next billing date moves forward and that renewal is skipped. Your subscribers are not billed for it, no order is created for it, and it is not charged later.

Charging starts again from the next billing date once you move to a paid plan, or once your store is back below the limit. When you reach either limit, the app shows a notice, and some actions in the panel stay locked until you upgrade or are back below the limit.

The paid plans have no subscription count limit and no revenue limit:

The fee applies to subscription orders Subi processes for you, never to one-time orders. It is capped every 30 days: at $1,000 on Starter and at $10,000 on Subi and Subi Plus.

All charges are billed in USD through Shopify every 30 days. Paying yearly saves 17%.
