How do I see what Subi has charged my store and download an invoice?

Open Settings › Subi billing to see this cycle's charges line by line, past cycles with their invoices, and recent charges.

If you want to know what Subi has charged your store, open Settings → Subi billing in your Subi admin. Below your plan details you will find what your current billing cycle has cost so far, line by line, your past billing cycles with an invoice you can download for each, and a Charge history card with the 20 most recent charges Subi has collected from your store.

Where to find your charges and invoices

In your Subi admin, open Settings, then Subi billing. The page has four cards:

  • Plan details — your plan, its transaction fee, last month's SMS usage, any feature add-ons you have purchased, and the total.

  • This cycle so far — everything charged in the billing cycle you are in now, one line per kind of charge.

  • Past cycles — one row per closed billing cycle, newest first, with its status, its total and its invoice.

  • Charge history — the 20 most recent charges Subi has collected, newest first.

The Charge history card only appears once Subi has collected at least one charge from your store. If your store has never been charged, the Charge history card is not shown — nothing is missing.

Reading the Plan details card

Directly under the Plan details title, a notice tells you the amount and date of your next payment — for example Your next payment of $119.00 is scheduled for September 15, 2026. You can dismiss this notice; it comes back when your next billing date changes, so you always see the upcoming payment.

Below it, one section lists your Monthly Subscription (the plan price, in USD per month), your Transaction Fee (applied to each subscription order, shown as last month's total) and SMS (last month's SMS usage). If you have purchased feature add-ons, they appear under Feature add-ons with an Active badge beside each name. An add-on in its free first month shows 0 with its monthly price struck through, and in place of the renewal date it reads, for example, Free until Nov 4; from that day it is billed at its monthly price and counted in the total. The grey Total band at the bottom sums your subscription and add-ons plus last month's usage.

What this cycle has cost you so far

The This cycle so far card covers the billing cycle you are in now and shows its dates at the top. Every kind of charge in that cycle gets its own line, such as Subi plan, Transaction fees and SMS usage, and feature add-ons, plan changes and plan credits appear as their own lines too. The total at the bottom is everything charged in this cycle so far.

The Transaction fees line shows the numbers behind it so you can check them yourself: the rate, the sales volume it was applied to and how many orders were charged. For example, 2% of $1,000.00 in sales, from 10 charged orders is a fee of $20.00. Underneath it, a Percentage fee and, on plans that have one, a Fixed fee per order line show the two parts, and a Discount or Referral credit that lowered the fee shows as its own line.

A small mark next to a figure tells you where it came from: Worked out from your charge records, or Converted to USD for an amount charged in another currency. Hover over the mark to see which one applies.

If your store is in its free trial, or your plan is not active yet, the card says so instead of showing lines, because nothing has been charged in this cycle.

Past cycles and invoices

The Past cycles card lists your closed billing cycles, newest first, five to a page. Each row shows the cycle dates, its status (Paid, or the amount that was not collected) and its total. Click a cycle to open its details page, which shows the same line-by-line summary for that cycle.

To download a cycle's invoice as a PDF, use the Download invoice button on its row or on its details page. To download several at once, select their rows and click Download invoices; they arrive together in one zip file.

A cycle without an invoice cannot be selected, and its details page tells you why with one of these notes:

  • Your invoice appears here once Shopify confirms this cycle's charges. Shopify has not yet confirmed every charge in the cycle. The invoice appears on its own once it does.

  • We are preparing this cycle's invoice. It will appear here. The invoice is on its way and needs nothing from you.

  • This cycle was adjusted after it closed, so it has no invoice. A refund or a billing correction changed the cycle after it closed, and the lines shown are the charges before that adjustment.

  • No invoice could be prepared for this cycle. Contact support for a statement. Write to our support team and we will send you a statement for that cycle.

Transaction fees we could not charge

If some transaction fees in a cycle did not go through, the cycle shows a Transaction fees we could not charge box with the amount and the number of orders it came from, and its status shows the amount as not collected. Subi does not try these charges again, so they will not appear on a later invoice and you will not pay them.

Reading the Charge history card

Each row in the Charge history table is one charge Subi collected, with three columns:

  • Date — the day the charge was collected.

  • Description — what the charge was for. A transaction fee names the order it was charged on and the amount it was calculated from, for example Subi fee for renewal order #1043 (order subtotal 142.00 GBP, before tax) or Subi fee for a new subscription, first order #1044 (subscription subtotal 38.00 GBP). Charges collected before this wording was introduced keep their shorter labels, Transaction fee for a subscription order (a renewal) or Transaction fee for a new subscription's first order.

  • Amount — the charge in USD.

The table shows your 20 most recent charges, with the newest at the top. The card has no search, sort or paging. Older charges appear on your Shopify invoices: in your Shopify admin, open Settings → Billing.

What the card does not show

  • Your monthly plan price is not a row in the Charge history table. It appears in Plan details, together with your next payment date, and as the Subi plan line of each cycle.

  • Only charges Subi actually collected are listed in Charge history. A fee Subi could not collect shows in that cycle's Transaction fees we could not charge box, and refunds are not listed.

  • There is no export from the Charge history card at the moment. The invoice of each past cycle is the document to keep.

All Subi charges are billed through Shopify, so every charge you see here also appears on your Shopify invoice.

If your store is on the Free plan

On the Free plan, Settings → Subi billing shows a plan chooser instead of these cards, and there is no billing cycle to show. The cycle cards, your invoices and Charge history are visible while your store is on a paid plan.

What each line on your Shopify bill is

Everything Subi charges comes through Shopify, so it shows on your Shopify invoice (Shopify admin, Settings, Billing). These are the lines you can see:

  • The line for your Subi plan: the monthly price of your plan, once per billing cycle.

  • Subi fee for renewal order #1043 (order subtotal 142.00 GBP, before tax): the fee on one renewal order Subi processed for a subscriber. #1043 is the Shopify order number, and 142.00 GBP is the order's subtotal in your store's currency: the products after discounts, without shipping or tax. The fee is your plan's percentage of that subtotal; some older plans also add a small fixed amount to each charge, shown in Plan details. If the order was not known yet when the fee was charged, the line reads Subi fee for a renewal order.

  • Subi fee for a new subscription, first order #1044 (subscription subtotal 38.00 GBP): the same fee on the first order of a new subscription, charged when the subscription is created. The amount in brackets is the subscription's price the fee is calculated from. If the first order was not known yet, the line reads Subi fee for a new subscription.

  • Charge for purchased feature addon: ...: a feature add-on you bought, listed under Feature add-ons in Plan details.

  • SMS usage charges from ... to ...: the text messages Subi sent for you in that period.

Fee lines charged before this wording was introduced keep their earlier text, Charge for successful billing attempt with id=... (a renewal) or Charge for new created contract with id=... (a new subscription). The number after id= is Subi's own reference, not your Shopify order number. To see which order such a line belongs to, match its date and amount in Charge history above, or write to us with the line and we will tell you the order.

A paused subscription creates no order, so it carries no fee.
