Subi gives your store two customer portals, and both work out of the box:
Subi portal — a hosted page at portal.subi.co. Customers log in with a one-time code. Ready to use, nothing to set up.
Shopify customer account — customers manage their subscriptions inside their own Shopify account. This is the most seamless experience, and it needs a one-time setup (adding an app extension).
The Customer Portal page (Storefront & Portal → Customer Portal) lets you view both, and choose which one the links in your subscription emails point to.
View and share your portals
At the top of the page, the Your customer portals section shows both portals side by side.
On the Subi portal card, you'll see the portal link with two buttons: Copy (copies the link) and Preview (opens the live portal in a new tab so you can see exactly what your customers see).
On the Shopify customer account card, you'll see Add Shopify extension (which opens your theme editor so you can add the extension) and Setup guide (a short video walking you through the setup).
Both portals share the same look and feel — whatever you set under Customize appearance (top-right of the page) applies to both.
Choose the portal your email links open
In the Customer portal link in emails section, pick which portal your subscribers open from the links in their subscription emails:
Subi portal — the default. Always available.
Shopify customer account — recommended for the most seamless experience. If you pick this one, make sure you've added the Shopify customer account extension first (you'll see a reminder), otherwise customers who open the link may not see their subscriptions.
Your choice saves automatically as soon as you select it — there's no Save button. You'll see a short confirmation.
If the Shopify customer account option is locked
The Shopify customer account portal is available on plans that include the customer account extension. If your plan doesn't include it, that option shows a lock and can't be selected — the Subi portal stays available, and you can upgrade to unlock the Shopify customer account.
Where to see the email link
Use the View email button in the email-link section to jump to your email notification settings and see where the link appears.
