What can I see on the Revenue tab in Subi Analytics?

The cards on the Revenue tab in Subi Analytics, what each one measures, and why some show a real zero instead of "no data".

The Revenue tab lives inside Analytics in your Subi admin, in the tab bar next to Overview, Subscribers, Contracts and Upcoming (and Reports, when reports are enabled for your store). It gives you a revenue-focused view of your subscription business over any date range you pick. This article walks through each card on the tab and explains why some cards show a real zero while others show an empty state.

The controls at the top

The Revenue tab uses the same three controls as the Overview tab, and they apply to every card on the tab at once: the date-range button (with the same presets, defaulting to Last 30 days), the Compare to button, and Group by with Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Quarterly buckets. When a comparison is on, each card's headline value shows its change against the comparison period as a percentage. Hover over any card's title to read how that metric is defined.

What's on this tab

Six chart cards and one table, all built from the same subscription data as the rest of Analytics:

  • Subscription Revenue — net subscription sales collected each day from successful subscription orders, over time. Tax, shipping and refunds are not included. When a comparison is on, the change shows as a percentage next to the headline value; the chart itself draws only the selected period.

  • MRR — the estimated monthly value of all contracts that are active on the last day of the selected range, plotted over time. Discounts, tax and shipping are not included.

  • New MRR — the monthly value of contracts created during the selected range that are still active on its last day.

  • Churn MRR — the monthly value of contracts that were active on the first day of the range but cancelled by its last day.

  • Billing Recovery Adoption Rate — the share of your active contracts that have billing retries enabled, as of the last day of the range.

  • Lost Revenue — money not collected from billing cycles that ended in failure by the end of the range, after every retry attempt was exhausted.

  • Sales by product — a table of your top five products by subscription revenue in the period, with the columns Product name, Variant, Unit sold and Subscription revenue. When reports are enabled for your store, a See all link under the table opens the full report, where you can filter, sort and export the same numbers.

Why some charts show a real zero instead of "no data"

For Subscription Revenue, MRR and New MRR, a period with nothing to plot shows No data available for selected period with the hint Try selecting a different date range — there was no activity at all in that window.

For Churn MRR, Lost Revenue and Billing Recovery Adoption Rate, a value of zero is a real result: it means nothing churned, nothing was lost, or no active contract has retries enabled in that period. Those three charts always plot the real number, including zero, rather than showing an empty state.

Why the Sales by product amounts show no currency symbol

The Subscription revenue column in the Sales by product table shows a plain number rather than a currency-formatted one. That figure is summed in each contract's own currency and is not converted into your store's currency, so Subi does not stamp a currency symbol on it that might be wrong for a store selling in more than one currency. The number itself is correct, and it is the same figure the Reports tab shows for this column.

When a card shows an error

If one card fails to load, only that card shows an error with a retry action and the message Your store data is unaffected. Try again in a moment. The rest of the tab keeps rendering. Analytics data refreshes on a schedule rather than live; if it has not been refreshed for a while, a banner at the top of the tab tells you when it was last updated.

Which plan this is on

The Revenue tab is available wherever Analytics is available for your store — it isn't gated behind a separate plan or add-on.
