The Overview tab of Subi Analytics answers one question first: what changed in your subscription business over the period you chose, and what needs your attention. This article walks through each block on the page, how the date-range and comparison controls work, and what to expect when a block shows no data.
Where to find Subi Analytics
Open Analytics in Subi's left-hand menu. The page is titled Subi Analytics and opens on the Overview tab. Next to Overview, the tab bar has Revenue, Subscribers, Contracts and Upcoming tabs, each covered in its own article. If reports are enabled for your store you will also see a Reports tab, and some Overview cards link straight into the report behind them.
Choosing a date range and a comparison period
The controls at the top of the Overview apply to the whole tab at once. The first button shows the period you are looking at and defaults to Last 30 days. When you pick a preset, the button reads that preset's name, so the label always describes the range the numbers below were calculated from.
The second button shows what you are comparing against. Comparison is on by default and set to Previous period, so the button reads Compare to: followed by the previous window's dates, every KPI card shows a change against that window, and the MRR chart draws two lines. Choosing No comparison removes the deltas and the second line.
The third control, Group by:, sets the time buckets on the chart: Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Quarterly.
Presets in the date-range picker
Opening the first button shows a preset list on the left and a calendar on the right. The presets are Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last 365 days, Last 12 months, This month, Last week, Last month, Last quarter, Last year, Week to date, Quarter to date and Year to date. The selected preset carries a checkmark. This month runs from the first day of the current month to today, so it never includes future days.
Above the calendar you can switch between Fixed (two exact dates) and Rolling (a window such as the last N days that moves forward every day). The footer of the picker has a Compare to previous period checkbox on the left, and Cancel and Apply custom range on the right. Ticking the checkbox and applying turns the comparison on against the period immediately before your selection.
Presets in the comparison picker
The comparison picker is a short list, with no calendar: No comparison, Previous period, Previous month, Previous quarter and Previous year, plus Previous week when the selected range is 7 days or shorter. The comparison window is always calculated from your main date range, which is why there is nothing to draw on a calendar here.
The attention cards at the top
The first block is a row of four KPI cards: Churned Subscribers, Payment Failure Rate, New Subscribers and Recovered Revenue. Each card shows the value for the selected period and, when a comparison is on, the change against the comparison period. Hover over a card's title to read how the metric is defined.
The cards are sorted so the metric that moved the most in the wrong direction is first. When a metric has worsened by 10% or more against the comparison period, that card gets a red outline and a Needs attention. banner appears above the row, with a View reports link when reports are enabled for your store. If every metric is within that range, the four cards look the same and no banner shows.
The payment-recovery callout
Below the attention cards you may see a card titled Reduce passive churn by recovering failed payments. It reads, with your store's own numbers filled in: "Your current payment failure rate is X. This month, Y in revenue was placed at risk. You recovered Z (W recovery rate) via active smart retries." The callout always describes the current month to date, regardless of the date range selected above, because that is what "this month" in the sentence means.
Review recovery settings takes you to Subi's payment-recovery settings, and Learn about recovery opens the help article on billing management. You can dismiss the card with the close control in its corner. The callout only appears when Subi has settled payment data for the current month; if any of its numbers is unavailable the whole card is hidden rather than shown with a blank.
Monthly recurring revenue
The Monthly recurring revenue chart shows your MRR over the selected period, in your store's currency. The chart draws one line for the selected period; the comparison you choose feeds the change shown next to the headline value, not a second line. The headline value is your MRR at the end of the period, with its change against the comparison period beside it. Hover over the chart title for the definition and formula behind the number.
Top products by MRR change
The Top products by MRR change table lists the products whose recurring revenue moved the most during the period, in either direction, with four columns: Product name, MRR change, Active contracts and Churn rate. A product that has an MRR movement but no churn data for the period shows a dash in the last two columns; a dash means "not available", not zero.
If your store has no MRR movement in the selected period, this card is not shown at all. When reports are enabled for your store, the icon in the card's top-right corner opens the full report behind the table, where you can filter, sort and export the same numbers.
Next 30 days
The Next 30 days block looks forward rather than back. It shows Scheduled orders (how many subscription orders are due), Projected revenue (their expected value in your store's currency) and Products to fulfill (the number of units those orders contain). If no orders are scheduled, the block says so.
Projected Active Subscribers
When your store has enough history, a Projected Active Subscribers card shows an estimated range for your active subscriber count over the next six months. Stores with too little history do not see this card yet.
When a block shows no data or an error
Subi never fills a block with zeros to stand in for missing data. If a block has nothing to show for the selected period, it says No data available for selected period; try a wider date range. If a block fails to load, it shows a message with a retry action, and your store data is unaffected. If the analytics data has not been refreshed for a while, a warning banner at the top of the tab tells you when it was last updated.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the date button say "Last 30 days" but my comparison shows different dates? The comparison button always shows the comparison window's own dates. With Previous period selected, that is the 30 days immediately before your selected 30 days.
Why did my comparison switch off? The Compare to previous period checkbox in the date-range picker mirrors whether you are comparing to the previous period. If you had picked a different comparison, such as Previous year, and then applied a new date range, check the comparison button and re-select the option you want.
Why is "Active contracts" not the same as my subscriber count? The column counts subscription contracts, so a customer with two subscriptions to the same product counts twice.
