The Contracts tab lives inside Analytics in your Subi admin, in the tab bar next to Overview, Revenue, Subscribers and Upcoming (and Reports, when reports are enabled for your store). Where Revenue tracks money, Contracts tracks the subscription contracts themselves — how many are active, how many are being lost or paused, and how that is changing over time. This article walks through each card on the tab.
The controls at the top
The Contracts tab uses the same three controls as the Overview tab, and they apply to every card at once: the date-range button (defaulting to Last 30 days), the Compare to button, and Group by with Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Quarterly buckets. Hover over any card's title to read how that metric is defined.
What's on this tab
Active Contracts — a line chart with two lines, Active and Churned. The headline is the number of contracts that are active on the last day of the selected range.
New vs Churned Contracts — bars for New contracts (created in the range and still active at its end) and Churned contracts (active at the start of the range, cancelled by its end), side by side.
Contract Renewal Rate — the share of contracts that were active at the start of each period and were still active at the end of it.
Contracts by Product — one line per product showing its active contract count over time, with a dropdown to show All products or a single one. The headline counts how many products are drawn, for example "3 products", not contracts.
Contract Churn Analysis — contracts cancelled in each period, split into Monthly and Annual bars by their billing interval. Contracts billed daily or weekly are counted in the card's total but are not drawn as bars.
Paused Contracts Trend — contracts that were active on the first day of the range but paused by its last day, over time.
Average Contract Value — the average monthly recurring revenue of the contracts that did not churn during the latest period in the range.
Contracts by product table — your top five products by active contracts, with the columns Product name, Active contracts and Churn rate. A dash in the churn-rate column means there were no contracts at the start of the period to measure against; it is not a 0% churn rate. When reports are enabled for your store, a See all link under the table opens the full report.
A chart from the original design that isn't here
The Contracts tab does not include an "Average Contract Length" chart. There is no field in Subi's analytics data yet that tracks how long a contract has run, so this chart could not be built accurately and was left out rather than shipped with a wrong number.
Why some cards plot a zero and others show "no data"
On New vs Churned Contracts and Contracts by Product, a window with no movement at all shows No data available for selected period. On every other card a zero is a real answer — no contracts paused, no cancellations, a 0% rate — and is plotted as zero.
A display quirk on two charts
On Active Contracts and Contracts by Product, a much larger line (like your total active contracts) can visually flatten a smaller one (like churned contracts, or a product with few contracts) on the same chart, because all lines share one y-axis scale. The underlying numbers are correct; this is a display limitation that is tracked as a known issue, not a data problem.
When a card shows an error
If one card fails to load, only that card shows an error with a retry action and the message Your store data is unaffected. Try again in a moment. The rest of the tab keeps rendering.
Which plan this is on
The Contracts tab is available wherever Analytics is available for your store — it isn't gated behind a separate plan or add-on.
