Overview
Adding Subi’s subscription widget to your product page allows customers to easily select and subscribe to your products. This guide explains both the automatic and manual installation methods, including what to check if the widget doesn’t appear. You’ll also find tips for testing on unpublished themes and adding the widget to featured product sections.
How is the widget installed on my product page?
To install the Subi subscription widget, first create a subscription plan for your product. Once your plan is ready, you’ll need to enable the Subi app embed within your Shopify theme. The Subi app will then automatically add the widget to any products included in your subscription plan.
Steps to enable Subi App Embed and install the widget:
From your Shopify admin panel, click Online Store > Themes.
Click Customize on your live theme.
In the left menu, open App Embed and ensure Subi App Embed is switched on.
Before checking for the widget, make sure:
The products you want to display the widget on are not in draft mode.
Your theme is published.
If you want to activate the widget on an unpublished theme (such as for testing), follow these steps to activate the widget on unpublished themes.

It can take up to 1 minute after enabling the app embed for the widget to appear on your product page.

How to manually install the widget if it’s not showing
If the widget does not appear after one minute, you can manually add it to your product page by following these steps:
First, confirm Subi App Embed is enabled:
In your Shopify admin panel, click Online Store > Themes.
Click Customize on your live theme.
From the left menu, go to App Embed and make sure Subi App Embed is switched on.
Next, add the Subi app block to your product page template:
In the top menu, search for and select your Product template.
In the left menu, find the Product Information section.
Click Add block, search for Subi, then add the Subi widget wrapper block.
Click the newly added block to open its settings and ensure Default product is selected as the dynamic source.

Do not select a specific product in the widget block settings—always use Default product as the dynamic source.
You can move the widget block to adjust its placement between other sections on the page.
