How do I change the placement of Subi’s subscription widget?

If you want to move the Subi subscription widget to a different position on your product page, you can easily adjust its placement inside your Shopify theme editor.

Overview

Subi’s subscription widget appears on product pages once:

  • A subscription plan is created

  • The Subi App Embed is enabled

  • The Subi widget block is added to the product template (if using manual placement)

You can move the widget higher or lower within the Product Information section depending on where you want it displayed.


How to Change the Widget Placement

Follow these steps to reposition the widget on your product page:

Step 1: Open Your Theme Editor

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes

  2. Click Customize on your live theme


Step 2: Open the Product Template

  1. At the top dropdown menu, select Products

  2. Choose your Default product template (or the template you are using)


Step 3: Locate the Subi Widget Block

  1. In the left sidebar, find the Product Information section

  2. Look for the Subi widget wrapper block


Step 4: Move the Widget

  1. Click and drag the Subi block

  2. Reposition it above or below other product elements (such as price, variants, or buy buttons)

  3. Click Save

You can place the widget wherever it fits best within the Product Information section.



Important: Use Default Product as Dynamic Source

When editing the Subi block settings:

  • Always select Default product as the dynamic source

  • Do not manually select a specific product

This ensures the widget loads correctly on all subscription-enabled products.


If the Widget Is Not Appearing

Before troubleshooting placement, confirm:

  • Subi App Embed is enabled
    → Online Store > Themes > Customize > App Embed > Turn on Subi App Embed

  • The product is not in draft mode

  • Your theme is published (or properly configured for testing)

It may take up to 1 minute for the widget to appear after enabling the app embed.


Testing on Unpublished Themes

If you're testing on a draft theme:

  • Make sure the Subi App Embed is enabled within that specific theme

  • Confirm the correct product template is selected
