Testing the Subi subscription widget on an unpublished or new theme allows you to preview how the widget will appear on your store without affecting the live theme. This process ensures that everything works smoothly before making changes to the published theme. By following the steps below, you can activate the Subi widget on an unpublished theme, review it on relevant products, and make adjustments if needed.
Testing the Subi Widget on an Unpublished Theme
You can add the Subi subscription widget to an unpublished or new theme by following these steps:
Go to Shopify Admin
Click on the Online Store Menu
In the Shopify Admin, navigate to Online Store in the Sales Channels section.Click on the Customize Button for an Unpublished Theme
Find the unpublished or new theme you want to test and click on the Customize button.
Click on the App embeds
Toggle on the Subi Subscriptions App Embed
Enable the Subi Subscriptions app embed by toggling it on.Click the Save Button
Once you've completed these steps, the Subi subscription widget should be visible on any products linked to an active subscription plan within the unpublished theme.
Important Notes
Any changes you make in the Subi Panel will apply to both published and unpublished themes, so be sure to test everything in the unpublished theme first.
