Why offer volume discount subscriptions?
Volume discounts on subscription bundles reward customers for subscribing to larger quantities, boosting average order value and retention. Subi supports multiple volume-discounting methods—choose the one that fits your setup and goals.
Before you begin
Access to Subi dashboard and Shopify admin required.
Some options require integrations with Fast Bundle or ADU – Automatic Discount.
Please check your plan details for feature availability.
Method 1: Quick Checkout Links + Subscription Discount Codes
Use Quick Checkout Link to create subscription bundles with volume discounts:
Add a selling plan in Subi to the product to enable subscriptions.
Generate a Quick Checkout Link including the product.
For different subscription frequencies (e.g., weekly vs. monthly), create separate links.
Set the bundle quantity in the link.
To offer multiple volume tiers, create individual links for each quantity.
Attach a Shopify discount code:
Use a single-word code (no spaces)
Set to apply to subscription purchases
Share the link via call‑to‑action buttons on product/landing pages or promotional emails.
Optional hide‑subscription strategies:
Set default widget to “one‑time purchase” (Subi panel > Widget > Customize)
Contact support to hide subscription widget via CSS
Duplicate product, apply subscription plan to duplicated version, hide duplicates from storefront
Method 2: Use Fast Bundle Integration
Create flexible mix‑and‑match subscription bundles:
Integrate Subi with Fast Bundle app.
In the app, create a Product Mix‑and‑Match bundle.
Add all eligible products.
Set a minimum selection threshold in Discount Options.
Enable the bundle on your store via the app’s menu.
Customize the bundle landing page in Shopify (Online Store > Pages).
This setup encourages customers to choose their items, while applying automatic volume discounts on subscriptions
Method 3: ADU – Automatic Discount App for Subscription Discounts
Apply automatic discounts when the cart contains a minimum subscription quantity:
Create a subscription plan in Subi including all qualifying products.
In Shopify Discounts, create discount codes:
Set Purchase Type to “Subscriptions”
Define minimum quantity required
Enable “Discount applies to all recurring payments”
Install ADU app, create a new promotion:
Select “Shopify Discount” type
Add the discount code, remove other triggers, activate and save
When customers meet the quantity threshold (e.g., 3+ items), the discount is applied automatically on subscription purchases.
