Quick Checkout Links: Increase Subscription Sales | Subi

Learn how to create and use Quick Checkout Links in Subi to simplify checkout and increase your subscription conversion rates.

What is a Quick Checkout Link in Subi?

A Quick Checkout Link in Subi lets you instantly create a unique URL that takes customers directly to your Shopify checkout with specific products and subscription details pre-added. This removes steps from the buying journey, making it easier for customers to complete their purchases, especially for subscriptions. You do not need coding experience to generate or share a Quick Checkout Link.

Why use Quick Checkout Links?

Quick Checkout Links make the buying process easier for your customers and help you grow your subscriptions. Here are the main benefits:

  • Faster checkout: Customers skip straight to checkout with their chosen products already in the cart.

  • Promote subscriptions everywhere: Share your Quick Checkout Link in emails, ads, banners, blogs, your homepage, or even post-purchase emails.

  • Boost conversion rates: Removing extra steps means more customers finish checkout. Some merchants have seen up to 35% higher conversion rates.

  • Personalized landing pages: Send customers from quizzes, banners, or custom landing pages straight to a pre-filled checkout.

  • Bundles and boxes: Group several products into a single link for subscription boxes or bundles.

  • Upsell after purchase: Add Quick Checkout Links to your order confirmation or thank you pages to promote related subscription offers.

  • Custom widgets (advanced): Developers can use Quick Checkout Links with custom widgets to match your store’s design.

How do I create a Quick Checkout Link in Subi?

To create a Quick Checkout Link:

  1. In your Subi dashboard, open Growth > Quick checkout. (If you bookmarked the old Settings > Quick Checkout Link location, that link still works and will redirect you to the new page.)

  2. Click Select products.

  3. Select the products or variants you want to include.

  4. Click Add.

  5. Set the Quantity and Selling Plan for each product.

  6. (Optional) To apply a discount, enable Apply discount code at checkout.

    • Note: The discount code must already be created in Shopify.

    • Use a single-word discount code (no spaces), and make sure it’s valid for subscriptions.

  7. Click Generate link at the bottom of the page to create your URL. Subi confirms with a Quick checkout link updated message.

    • Once a link exists, the bottom button disappears and a Regenerate link button appears beside the link itself. Use that one whenever you change the products, quantities, selling plan, or discount.

  8. Click the eye icon to preview your checkout page.

  9. Click Copy link for email & website or Copy link for chat apps & QR codes, depending on where you plan to share it. See Which link should I use? below.

When you first open Quick checkout, the page starts empty. Choose Select products to begin:

After you add products and generate a link, the page shows your link, the products you chose, and the discount option:

For context, the Quick checkout tile lives inside the Growth hub:

Here’s how the generated Quick Checkout Link will appear in the Shopify checkout page:

Note: If you update product details (such as frequency), you must regenerate your Quick Checkout Link. Deleting products or generating new links does not expire your old links—they will continue to work.

Which link should I use?

Subi gives you two versions of the same quick checkout link. Both open the same products with the same selling plan, but they behave differently, so pick the one that matches where you are sharing it.

  • Copy link for email & website — use this in newsletters, blog posts, landing pages, and buttons on your store. It empties the cart first, so the customer arrives with only the products in your link. Opening it again always gives the same cart.

  • Copy link for chat apps & QR codes — use this for WhatsApp, SMS, Instagram, QR codes, and links opened inside mobile apps. Those channels sometimes rewrite long links and break them, and this version is built to survive that. It adds to the cart the customer already has instead of emptying it.

Good to know: because the chat and QR version adds to the existing cart, opening it twice adds the products twice. If a customer says their quantities doubled, ask whether they opened the link or scanned the code more than once.

Common ways to use Quick Checkout Links

You can use Quick Checkout Links for many strategies to increase sales:

Troubleshooting: Why is my Quick Checkout Link showing an error?

If you get an error (such as 400 or 422) when using your Quick Checkout Link, check the following:

  • The product(s) in the link might be out of stock

  • The product(s) may have been removed from your Shopify store

  • The product(s) may be in draft mode in Shopify

  • If the quantities are higher than expected, the customer may have opened the chat apps & QR codes link more than once — that version adds to the existing cart each time

When this happens, Shopify will show an error and redirect customers to your homepage, so they don’t see a blank page.
