When someone subscribes to a product or purchases a membership in your store, Subi automatically adds them to your Shopify customer list. If the customer already exists, Subi updates their profile with the latest subscription details.
Viewing Shopify Customers
You can view all customers from your Shopify admin > Customers.
The Orders column in this list shows the number of one-time purchase orders. If a customer has only purchased a subscription and never made a one-time purchase, this column will display 0.
How subscription purchases appear in customer profiles
When you open a customer profile, you’ll see all their active subscriptions listed in a dedicated section, separate from one-time orders. Selecting the selling plan name with the Subi logo in this section will take you directly to that subscription’s contract in Subi.
Subi Customer tags
You can enable customer tags in Subi > Settings.
When enabled, Subi automatically tags customers who purchase a subscription. You can see these tags in the customer’s profile and use them to create segments.
Note: Customer tags apply only to new subscribers after you enable the feature. Existing subscriber profiles will not be updated automatically.
Creating customer segments for subscribers or members
Customer segments help you group subscribers or members for targeted communication or reporting. To create a segment:
In Subi > Settings > Tag management, activate customer tags.
Go to your Shopify admin > Customers.
Click Filter at the top.
Select the customer_tag contains filter.
Choose the Subi Subscriber tag (or any tag you’ve enabled in Subi).
Click Apply filter.
Name your segment.
Save your segment.
Once saved, you can select this segment anytime from the Customer segment menu in Shopify.
