If every live Subscribe & Save plan in your store sells at 0% off, Subi shows a card titled Your plans offer 0% off. The card helps you decide whether to add a discount, and lets you add 5%, 10% or 15% to your plans after one confirmation. Your existing subscribers keep the price they signed up at.
Who sees the 0% discount card?
You see the card when two things are true: your store is on a paid Subi plan (not a free plan, not in a trial), and every live Subscribe & Save plan group in your store sells at 0% off. A plan counts as 0% off when it has no discount at all, a 0% discount, or a $0 fixed amount off. If any live Subscribe & Save plan already has a discount, you won't see the card.
Where does the card appear?
The card appears in two places:
At the top of the Plans page. If the app embed warning is showing, that warning comes first; turn on the app embed and the card appears.
At the bottom of a 0% Subscribe & Save plan group's page. While it shows, the prepaid and volume discount suggestions for that group are hidden.
What do the numbers on the card mean?
The card compares how many new subscriptions your store started in the last 30 days with the median for stores of a similar size that offer a discount. "A similar size" means stores with between half and double your number of active subscriptions. For example, if you have 200 active subscriptions, you are compared with discounting stores that have between 100 and 400. If there aren't at least 5 such stores, the comparison sentence is left out and the rest of the card stays.
The card also tells you honestly that stores without a discount keep their subscribers a little longer: about 52% of subscribers are still subscribed after 180 days at stores with no discount, against 43% at stores that discount. These two figures are the same for every store and are refreshed each quarter.
How do I add a discount from the card?
Choose 5%, 10% or 15%. Nothing is selected until you choose.
Click Add discount. A confirmation shows exactly what will change, for example Add 10% to 4 plans in 2 groups.
Click Confirm, or Cancel to change nothing.
After you confirm, a message such as 10% added to 4 plans appears. From the Plans page, the discount is added to every plan in every 0% Subscribe & Save group. From a group's own page, it is added only to the plans in that group.
What happens to my existing subscribers?
Existing subscriptions keep the price they already have. Only new subscriptions start at the discounted price. As with any plan edit, a subscriber who later changes their delivery frequency or swaps a product moves to the plan's new price.
Does the discount change anything else about my plans?
No. Plan names, delivery and billing intervals, and prepaid settings stay as they were. A plan that had a $0 fixed amount off now sells at the percentage you chose.
Can I hide the card?
Yes. Click the close button on the card. Once you close it, it stays hidden for your store on both the Plans page and the plan group pages, and won't come back.
