How do I swap a product in my Build a Box subscription?

Use this feature to replace a product in a customer’s Build a Box subscription with another eligible item.

How to swap a product

  1. Open the subscription
    Log in to the customer portal and select the Build a Box subscription you want to update.

  2. Go to Product Details
    Click Product Details to view all items currently included in the box.

  3. Click “Swap” on the item
    Find the product you want to replace and click Swap next to it.

  4. Choose a replacement product
    A product selection window will open:

    • Browse available products, or

    • Use the search bar to find a specific item

  5. Select a replacement variant
    Choose one product variant to replace the original item.

    • The quantity will stay the same

  6. Confirm the swap
    Click Swap at the bottom of the selection window.

  7. Save your changes
    Review your updated box, then click Save to apply the changes.


Requirements

To use the Swap feature:

  • The “Swap subscription line” permission must be enabled

  • This permission is managed by the merchant

Eligible products
Eligible products are products that are included in the Build a Box subscription plan and have been added to that plan.

Important notes
You can only swap products within the same Build a Box configuration set by the merchant
Only eligible products will appear as replacement options
The quantity remains unchanged when swapping products
You can swap multiple items in one session before saving
