This article will explore Fixed Bundles Subscription, their use cases, and best practices for implementing them in your subscription business.
What is a Fixed Bundle Subscription?
A Fixed Bundle Subscription is a predefined package that includes multiple items (products) sold together like a single subscription product. Customers subscribe to receive the same set of items regularly. Further, customers can choose available options for each item (e.g., color, size, etc.) in the subscription. However, they can not customize their bundle (e.g., remove or update an item) after subscribing.
This approach benefits businesses by increasing average order value and promoting related products as a set.
The bundle can be configured with various pricing options, such as:
Percentage Discount: Offering a percentage off the total price.
Fixed Discount: A fixed amount (in shop currency) deducted from the price
No Discount: Bundling products at full price.
Additionally, you can add these bundles as widgets to your main product pages, making it easy for customers to discover them.
Where Will the Widget Appear?
The widget will appear on the individual product pages for the items included in the bundle. This ensures that customers can discover the bundle while browsing these products.
Will the widget only be shown on pages containing the bundle product?
Yes, it will only appear on the product pages of the products included in the bundle unless you decide to add it elsewhere manually.Could you let customers know where it appears and where it doesn't
Unfortunately, the widget display is tied to the product pages containing the bundle, but you can customize which pages display the widget through Shopify's settings if needed.
How to Create a Fixed Bundle?
Creating a fixed bundle is a straightforward process within the Subi dashboard. Follow these simple steps to set up your bundle:
1. Choose Your Bundle Type
Start by navigating to the Subscription Plans section in your Subi dashboard:
Go to the Subscription Plans dashboard.
Click on Create Plan.
Select Fixed Bundle, which combines multiple products into one subscription offering.
2. Enter Bundle Name
Once you've chosen the Fixed Bundle option, you'll need to give your bundle a name. This name will appear in your store and on the widget displayed to customers.
Under Bundle as a Product, enter a descriptive name (e.g., “Skincare Bundle”).
You can customize the product description and media on Shopify later.
3. Add the Products Included in the Bundle
Next, you'll add the products that make up the fixed bundle.
Under Included Products, click the Browse button to select the products you want to include in your bundle.
Add each product individually and set the quantities required for the bundle.
You can also configure product settings, such as available variants (e.g., size, color) and delivery options.
For each product, you can choose between:
Included in all billings & deliveries (Default): The customer is charged and receives the product with every subscription cycle.
Included only in the first billing & delivery: The customer is charged and receives the product only once, during the first order.
4. Set Up Your Selling Plans
Now that your bundle items are selected, the next step is to configure your selling plans.
In the Selling Plans section, choose your desired billing intervals for the subscription, such as weekly, monthly, or bi-monthly.
Optionally, enable a One-time Purchase option for customers who prefer a one-off payment.
Set up any discounts or special offers for recurring or one-time purchases (e.g., a 10% discount for subscribers).
