This guide will walk you through the steps to set up and sell gift subscriptions using Givy and Subi.
Step 1: Ensure You Have a Subscription Plan in Subi
Before setting up gift subscriptions, you must have a subscription or membership plan in place. To do this:
Create at least one subscription plan in Subi for your subscription-based products.
Verify that your products are correctly assigned to these plans.
Step 2: Configure Gift Subscriptions in Givy
Once your subscription plans are ready, follow these steps to enable gifting through Givy:
Install Givy app.
Open the Givy from your Shopify admin panel.
Navigate to Settings > Product Gifting.
Toggle on Enable Subscription Gifting.
Configure the following options:
Default Order Count: Set the default number of orders included in the gift (customers can adjust this at checkout).
Subscription Name Display: Customize how subscription details appear to customers.

Step 4: How Recipients Redeem Their Gift
After purchase, the recipient will receive a gift notification via email, or the buyer can share a custom link. The recipient can then:
Click on the redemption link to view the personalized message.
Confirm their subscription and enter their shipping details.
Complete the process with a dynamically applied discount code that covers the gifted subscription.
Step 5: Managing Gift Subscriptions
As a merchant, you can track gift subscription purchases in your Shopify order history and Subi customer portal. Ensure that your customer support team is prepared to assist recipients who have questions about redemption.
